Strangers Coffee Company was established in 2009 by Alex Sargeant and Samuel Maddocks with William Maddocks later joining the team in 2014

Together they have set up a multi award-winning coffee shop & roastery which are located in the Norwich Lanes, as well as opening third location found on the other side of the city centre on All Saints Green. The three brothers have spent over a decade learning the skills of the industry, focusing on the quality & ethics of the coffees they source, roast and serve.

I am thrilled to stock three of their best selling, most delicious coffees, sold as whole beans or ground in 250g bags:

Brasil Fazenda Bom Jesus

Winner of a Great Taste Award, this coffee has notes of hazelnut, praline and chocolate. Fazenda Bom Jesus is the work of the couple Gabriel and Flavia Lancha Oliveira.

More than just a farming couple, their objective is to sustainably develop their region from a social and economical point of view. Fazenda Bom Jesus was a founder of the Alta Mogiana Specialty Coffee Association - AMSC. It promotes a greater conscience with regard to speciality coffee in the region as well as developing better farm practices. You can read more about this incredible coffee here.

Fine City Blend

A Great Taste award winning coffee blend, showcasing amazing heirloom Caturra coffee beans from Columbia and Ethiopia.

The Fine City Blend has flavours of juicy red berries, chocolate and an orange citrus acidity and is available whole bean or ground. You can read more about this blend here.

Decaf: Columbia San Lorenzo

With notes of dark chocolate, orange and hazelnut, this decaf coffee is the best I have tasted.

This producer group is part of the Cooperativa de Caficultores de Alto Occidente de Caldas which was established in 1964. The San Lorenzo indigenous group are based in the Rio Sucio municipality of Caldas where there are 11,500 inhabitants with 1,150 farmers growing and producing coffee within the 21 communities. The indigenous inhabitants believe in the Pacha Mama where they see the land as a living being. To them it is their duty to protect the natural environment and have as little impact as possible from their farming of coffee and to leave it as it has always been.
