My Story

My Story

I was born and spent my childhood in Norfolk, almost always to be found looking for bugs in a field, up a tree, or squirrelled away making something. Invariably with scraped knees and dishevelled hair.

For many years as an adult I lived a very different life as a professional in the city, but in the end, you can't take the country out of the girl. I couldn't shake an unfulfilled desire to live amongst nature, where I knew my neighbours and most, important of all, to make things with my hands.

I left London in 2015 and moved to live in a small mountain village in Tirol, Austria. There I retrained as a chef and after some amazing experiences working with inspirational chefs in hotels in Austria, and finally as a pastry chef in a Michelin starred restaurant in Cornwall, I heard the calling to be near to family back home.

In 2020 I was lucky enough to find a cottage amongst the big skies and quiet, leafy woodlands of Elsing in Norfolk, with just enough room to create my own little bakehouse. I live here with my partner and our ill-behaved Labrador, Otto. I am almost always happily covered in flour.

I hope you enjoy eating my products as much as I enjoy baking them for you.
